Stay by Sydney’s The Kid Laroi and Canada’s Justin Bieber holds #1 on the ARIA singles chart for a 14th consecutive week. The track now sits outright third in the list of longest runs at the top of the ARIA singles chart (which extends from July 1983-present) one week behind Ed Sheeran’s Shape Of You which sat at #1 for 15 weeks and Tones and I’s Dance Monkey which topped the chart for 25 weeks.

Speaking of Ed Sheeran, his track Shivers moves up one spot to hit a new peak at #4 in its fifth week in the ARIA top 50. It comes two weeks before the release of the single’s parent album, = on October 29th.

American duo The Anxiety – made up of Tyler Cole and Willow Smith – take out a new peak at #13 with Meet Me At Our Spot. The track first gained popularity through TikTok, with the track known as the ‘caught a vibe’ song. Meet Me At Our Spot was first released by the pair in March 2020.

Nine weeks into its run in the ARIA top 50, Love Tonight by Melbourne electronic duo Shouse has jumped eleven spots to score a new peak at #22. It’s the same peak the single has so far reached in the UK.

Justin Bieber picks up this week’s highest debut at #28 with Ghost. The track is the tenth to chart from the 16 tracks on the March 2021 album Justice after Holy, Lonely, Anyone, Hold On, As I Am, Off My Face, Unstable, 2 Much, and Peaches. This week is the 30th week that Justice has made it into the top 50 albums chart.

Debuting in the top 50 at #49 is Money by Lisa. Going solo after her time in BLACKPINK, Money is the b-side single to official debut solo single LALISA, but has caught people’s attention after placing on Spotify’s influential Today’s Top Hits playlist.

Albums

After 12 weeks out of the top spot, Olivia Rodrigo’s debut album SOUR returns to #1 on the ARIA charts. Since its release in May of this year, the album has spent all 21 of its weeks on the chart in the top ten – eight of them at #1 – dipping only as low as #4.

The highest ranked Australian artist this week comes from Sydney punk legends The Hard-Ons as they score their first ever entry in the ARIA top ten at #4 with I’m Sorry Sir, That Riff’s Been Taken. The band’s 13th studio album is their first album to feature You Am I’s Tim Rogers as vocalist. Previously the highest-charting Hard-Ons album was the compilation A Decade Of Rock at #68 back on February 1994.

Trivium take out their seventh top ten album on the ARIA albums chart with In The Court Of The Dragon at #9. The American metal band’s tenth album comes just over a year on from What The Dead Men Say which hit #5 in May 2020. The highest peak of their career so far is a tie between Shogun in 2008 and The Sin And The Sentence in 2017, both hitting #4.

Returning with their first album in seven years, New Zealand rockers Shihad debut at #15 with Old Gods. It’s the band’s tenth studio release and follows on from 2014’s FVEY, which was their second top ten locally.

After charting earlier in the year alongside Justin Biever and Skrillex with Don’t Go, Don Toliver releases his second album Life Of A Don. The followup to 2020’s Heaven or Hell comes in at #17.

With the announcement that her new album 30 is set to debut on November 19th and a taste in single Easy On Me out now, Adele’s albums 25 and 21 have re-appeared in the chart at #18 and #24 respectively.

After spending the week as Triple J’s feature album, Seventeen Going Under by Sam Fender comes in at #46. This is the British musician’s second album after Hypersonic Missiles from 2019.
