ARIA has welcomed Miley Cyrus to the top of the singles chart with Flowers as it makes its debut. This comes almost a decade since her previous best, Wrecking Ball, which reached #2 in 2013.
Miley is no stranger to the ARIA charts. She has had two #1 albums in Australia with Bangerz in 2013 and Breakout in 2008. In 2021 she was nominated in the ARIA Awards for Best International Artist with Plastic Hearts and Single of the Year for WITHOUT YOU featuring The Kid LAROI.
After achieving her first #1 single last week, SZA takes #2 is SZA with Kill Bill. Her previous best was a #2 placing for All The Stars (with Kendrick Lamar) from the Black Panther soundtrack in 2018. She also featured on Doja Cat’s Kiss Me More, which topped out at #2 in 2021.
In at #3 is Escapism. by RAYE featuring 070 Shake, followed by Unholy by Sam Smith & Kim Petras.
Rounding out the top five singles on the ARIA charts is Taylor Swift’s Anti-Hero.
Albums
Swift once again takes out the top album for an 11th week – this comes Midnights marked its 10th non-consecutive week at #1.

In #2 is SZA and her sophomore album SOS, followed by the Arctic Monkeys 2013 album AM at #3. The resurgence for the English rock band’s fifth studio album coincides with their first tour of Australia since 2019.
Taking #4 is The Weeknd with greatest hits release, The Highlights, followed by Elton John’s 2017 greatest hits album release, Diamonds.
