Stay by Australia’s The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber remains at #1 on the ARIA singles chart for the eighth week, making it the longest-running #1 single of 2021. It has equaled the time on top of 5 Seconds Of Summer’s Youngblood in 2018, Gotye’s Somebody That I Used To Know in 2011, Savage Garden’s Truly Madly Deeply in 1997, and Austin Tayshus’ Australiana in 1983. These tracks tie in third place for the most weeks at #1 by an Australian artist on the ARIA Singles Chart.

Elton John and Dua Lipa’s collaboration Cold Heart (Pnau Remix) moves up one spot to hit a new peak at #3. The track equals the peak hit by John’s last duet to hit the top ten, Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me with George Michael in January 1992. This week, the track was announced as being part of John’s upcoming 32nd studio album, The Lockdown Sessions, set for release in October.

Topping the ARIA albums chart with Donda, Kanye West hits the singles chart with 19 tracks from the project. Masking the top ten alone is Hurricane – Version 2, Jail, and Off The Grid.

West breaks the record for most debuts in the top 50 in one week with a  total of 19, set by Taylor Swift’s 16 tracks in August 2020. He also takes the record for most tracks in the top 50 in one week, previously held by Post Malone and Michael Jackson, who had 17 each.

Doja Cat scores two debuts in this week’s top 50: hitting #26 with Woman and #49 with Get Into It (Yuh). They’re the fifth and sixth tracks, receptively to chart from the American artist’s third album, Planet Her, after Kiss Me More (which peaked at #2), Need To Know, You Right, and I Don’t Do Drugs.
