It’s been 41 weeks since his album “Divide” was released and he won’t be touring Australia for Frontier Touring until March, but this Warner Music recording artist has achieved a very rare double. He has secured top spot on the album and single charts this week. His six-times platinum album has returned to the top 41 weeks after release. Meanwhile on the singles chart “Perfect” has held top spot again, also 41 weeks after release.
“Perfect” is Sheeran’s fourth #1 single this year and those tunes have topped the chart for 23 weeks.
Sheeran’s back catalogue albums continue to chart this week:
#22 “X” after 182 weeks
#33 “Plus” after 289 weeks
Singles
Apart from Ed Sheeran’s chart milestone, it has been a very quiet week for singles.
Hardly any movement in the top 10 with only “I Feel It” from Portugal. The Man re-enterting the top 10 at #4 after previously peaking at #5.
New to the top 50 is Calum Scott with “You Are The Reason” at 36 after a couple of weeks outside of the 50.

Albums
Country music artist Luke Bryan has one of only two albums to debut in the top 50. Bryan’s sixth album “What Makes You Country” is new at #6. He will make his debut Australian tour next March.
The only chart debut this week was “The Music, The Mem’ries, The Magic!” from Barbara Streisand, which debuted at #45.
