Elton John & Dua Lipa’s Cold Heart (Pnau Remix) holds #1 on the ARIA singles chart for a second straight week. The track only spent one week at #1 in the UK, but like in Australia, it spent five weeks at #2.
Despite Sydney’s PNAU being the ones to remix the current #1 single, the highest charting Australian artist this week is The Kid Laroi with Stay at #3. His single with Justin Bieber spent 14 weeks straight at the top of the chart before it was taken over by Adele’s Easy On Me. This week Stay comes in at #5.
Post Malone teams up with The Weeknd to release One Right Now at #9. It’s the second track from Malone’s forthcoming fourth album after Motley Crew and becomes his tenth singles chart top ten. It’s The Weeknd’s twelfth career top ten and third for 2021; he debuted at #8 two weeks ago with Moth To A Flame, a collaboration with Swedish House Mafia.
This week also marks 100 weeks in the top 50 for The Weeknd’s previous #1 single Blinding Lights, and 40 weeks for his album The Highlights.
This week, American rapper Travis Scott debuts in the Top 50 with two tracks: Escape Plan (#22) and Mafia (#47). Ahead of the release of their debut album, An Evening with Silk Sonic, American superduo Silk Sonic – made up of Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak – score a third singles chart entry with Smokin Out The Window at #34. It comes after their singles Leave The Door Open and Skate.

Music legends ABBA take out their first #1 in Australia in nearly 30 years as they return with Voyage. The quartet’s first studio album since 1981’s The Visitors features ten tracks written by ABBA’s songwriters, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus and includes the singles Don’t Shut Me Down and I Still Have Faith In You. It’s the second ABBA album to top the ARIA charts after the compilation ABBA Gold spent four straight weeks at #1 in December 1992. Prior to the ARIA charts, ABBA had #1 albums in Australia with ABBA (in 1975/76), The Best of ABBA (in 1976) and Arrival (in 1976/77). Voyage will be supported by a concert residency, also called ABBA Voyage, that will take place in London beginning on 27 May 2022 and will feature the digital avatars of the group.
Marking two decades of Kid A (which hit #2 in October 2000) and Amnesiac (#2 in June 2001), Radiohead hit this week’s chart with the reissue package Kid A Mnesia at #3. As well as the two original albums, the set includes a third disc comprising previously unreleased material from the recording sessions of both albums. The reissue of the band’s previous album, OK Computer: OKNOTOK 1997-2017, peaked at #6 in July 2017.
The highest rating Australian album this week is last week’s #1, Rüfüs Du Sol’s Surrender at #5. The Sydney group’s fourth studio album comes three years on from Solace, which peaked at #2.
Welsh metal band Bullet For My Valentine take out their sixth ARIA albums chart entry with their self-titled seventh album at #17. The follow-up to Gravity (which hit #10 in July 2018) is the group’s second album with its current line-up. Jason Bowld took over from Michael Thomas on drums in 2017.
#18: Summer Walker ‘Still Over It’ – American R&B singer Summer Walker takes out a second albums chart entry as she releases second album, Still Over It at #18. Coming two years on from her debut, 2017’s Over It, the new album includes collaborations with Cardi B, SZA, Pharrell Williams, Ciara and more.
Wollongong duo Hockey Dad debut at #22 with Live At The Drive In. The album was recorded over two nights in October 2020 at the Bulli Showground in their hometown. Fans attending the show sat in their cars listening to the band through their car stereo. Hockey Dad last charted with Brain Candy at #2 in August 2020.
Byron Bay-born, Berlin-based band Parcels make their ARIA top 50 debut at #30 with Day/Night after enjoying the feature album slot on triple j last week. The electro-pop/disco-soul five-piece’s second album is the follow-up to their self-titled debut from 2018 and is a 19-track double album.
Australian supergroup Springtime hit their chart at #34 with their self-titled debut album. The trio features Gareth Liddiard (The Drones, Tropical F*ck Storm), Jim White (Dirty Three, PJ Harvey) and Chris Abrahams (The Necks, Laughing Clowns). Liddiard charted earlier in the year with Tropical F*ck Storm, claiming their highest ever debut with the ARIA-nominated Deep States which hit #7 in August 2021.
Finally, this week marks 100 weeks in the top 50 for Harry Styles’ 2019 album Fine Line, coming in at #16 this week.
