Archibald Williams has announced the promotion of Kiranpreet Kaur to the role of managing director.
Canada-born Kaur first joined the communications agency in 2016 as a senior account director. After two years she had a short stint at CX Lavender before returning to Archibald Williams in 2020.
The newly appointed managing director has spent the majority of her career in Australia working with independent agencies.
Kaur has an active voice in the industry through her place on agency Leadership Teams, regularly commentary, and dedication to strategy, leadership and diversity. She has been at the forefront of market-first strategies and campaigns for clients including Citibank, Cancer Council and more.
Co-founding partner Stuart Archibald said of Kaur promotion: “Anyone who works with Kiran will say she helps drive their motivation at work, no matter their role.
“You don’t have to be her direct report to feel like you’re part of her team. Big picture thinking isn’t just a cliché with her – it’s practical. And of course, it helps that strategy is in her DNA,” he added.
Bram Williams, co-founding partner, also said: “Kiran’s mastery is of balance – between empathy and discipline in her leadership, or between BAU and growth.
“She also easily manages the balance between old and new – respecting the wisdom of long-term experience, while being openminded to the needs, technologies and culture of new generations. She’s perfect for this position and for the future of the agency,” he added.
Kiran said of her new role: “Archibald Williams has been my second family and the place where I fell in love with strategy. The opportunity to be able to play a role in the future of the agency – from business to culture to our outputs for clients – is incredibly rewarding and energising.
“I’m grateful to Stu and Bram for always having given me a seat at the table and hearing me out, and for their trust in me for this opportunity. Big things are coming, and I can’t wait to grow with this shop!” she added.
