Angie began her career in Townsville, where her work gained national coverage as she reported on cyclones and crocodiles. As a result, she developed a keen interest in the weather and has since added to this knowledge by completing a Graduate Certificate in Climatology.

After her stint in the tropics, Angie moved to the Brisbane newsroom to cover the court round. There she reported on local and national cases, including the trial of surgeon Jayant Patel and former government minister Gordon Nuttall.

During her time in Brisbane, Angie also covered the devastating floods of 2011 as a weather presenter.

Her ongoing work as an investigative journalist also earned her a place among the finalists in the 2012 Clarion Awards.

In the summer of 2012, Angie began working as a newsreader, presenting the 6pm bulletin across Queensland. She now regularly fills-in on Seven’s Morning News and 4pm bulletins.

After the successful launch of the Mediaweek 100 brand last year – which saw Rupert and Lachlan Murdoch, Mike Sneesby, the Stokes family, James Warburton, and Beverley McGarvey listed in the top 10 as the most powerful people in the Australian media industry – the countdown is back for 2022.

This time it will be bigger and better as part of the new Mediaweek Power Lists brand, which will include a major live event, The Mediaweek 100 Power Lunch on October 21 at The Crown’s Pearl Ballroom in Sydney.

The Mediaweek Power Lists will be headlined by the Mediaweek 100 which will showcase the 100 most powerful people in the media industry. It will also include two new lists this year: the Mediaweek Agency 50, and the Mediaweek Star Power 25.
