Independent agency, Affinity has led the Australian charge in the prestigious WARC Effective 100, being named the second most effective Digital/Specialist agency in the world, and first across APAC.
The recognition follows wins at a substantial number of global and local effectiveness awards across a range of clients during 2020, including Effies, New York Festivals AME Awards and the ANA International ECHO Awards. The London-based IPA Effectiveness Awards also saw Affinity win the Tim Broadbent Prize for Most Effective International Campaign for Tourism Central Coast.
As a result, Affinity’s work for the Central Coast was ranked the 7th most effective in the WARC Effective 100 Top Campaigns, the highest ranking from an independent agency globally.
This is Affinity’s fourth year on the WARC Effective 100 since 2017 and its highest accolade yet. Affinity was also recognised as the best full-service agency in Australia in the Media & Marketing category in the 2021 AFR BOSS Best Places to Work awards.
“Ranking #2 in the world for effectiveness is an enormous validation of our business model. It really shows our ‘outcomes’ promise is more than just a sales pitch. In today’s world it’s never been more important to be accountable and deliver growth. It should also be acknowledged that this has been a great year for Australian agencies – it’s genuinely gratifying to see we’re a nation that can lead the way in proving great thinking can deliver business results,” CEO of Affinity Australia, Luke Brown said.
The WARC Effective 100 is a ranking of the world’s most awarded campaigns and companies for effectiveness. It compiles the results of award shows that ran the year prior by tracking different advertising competitions around the world, with all of them requiring entrants to show the impact of a campaign. Campaigns and the agencies behind them are awarded points based on the prizes they win in those competitions.
WARC was established in 1985 to deliver marketing insights and now has a community of over 75,000 marketers in more than 1,200 companies in 100+ markets. In 2018 WARC became part of Ascential, a specialist information, data and analytics company that helps the world’s most ambitious businesses win in the digital economy.
