AJF Partnership has farewelled founding partner Adam Francis as he departs from the business at the end of April.
Francis leaves after 18 years at the agency, which included many milestones, such as the acquisition of GrowthOps for $21 million in 2017.
Francis founded the agency alongside Andrew Fabbro, Andrew Foote and Josh Stephens. Foote and Stephens left the business in 2022, and Con Frantzeskos joined as managing director in October.
Clint Cooper, CEO of GrowthOps, said Francis’ departure from the agency was the conclusion of a remarkable chapter, where along with his founding partners, he built a formidable creative agency.
“We are sincerely grateful to Adam for his outstanding contribution to the formation of AJF, and its development and success since,” he said.
“Adam’s entrepreneurial leadership, talent and caring nature have created value for the team at AJF, the group and our clients,” Cooper added.
Frantzeskos said: “I would like to echo Clint’s sentiments. We are incredibly grateful to Adam for what he and the partners have built.
“From the beginning, AJF has been driven by effectiveness, partnering with some of Australia’s biggest and most iconic brands. Our team has built long-term, unifying brand platforms making it one of the best agencies in Australia.
“We continue to build on the legacy of effectiveness, creativity and partnerships that sits at the heart of AJF.” he added.
Francis said of his departure: “I am going to miss the ad game, especially all the friends I made along the way. I have always thought it’s a young person’s industry – so my time is well and truly up.
“Massive thanks to everyone that carried me over the journey, including all the brands and suppliers. You have all made it a rewarding career and I enjoyed your company and the challenges.
“I am looking forward to taking everything I have learnt and starting fresh within a new industry or two after spending some time with my beautiful family.”
