The ABC has announced that comedian Luke McGregor’s pursuit to transform his sex life from lukewarm to hot will be broadcast on air this March.
Luke Warm Sex is a six-part docu comedy series that sees McGregor commission help from sexperts, therapists, scientists, tantric practitioners and sexual empowerment coaches to improve himself in hilariously awkward ways.
“The main reason I chose to do this series was because I wanted to get better at sex,” says McGregor. “I thought I was terrible at it, I really didn’t like talking about it, and the act itself always terrified me.”
“Having finished working on this series, sex is no longer something that makes me feel anxious – it’s now something I look forward to. I finally find sex fun. I can talk about it openly, and I don’t even feel embarrassed buying condoms any more (still do with toilet paper though for some reason…)”
ABC TV’s Head of Entertainment Jon Casimir says, “We asked Luke to be brave, vulnerable and funny in this series, to confront his insecurities while a camera team watched. The result is a series of extraordinary honesty, warmth and discovery. Australia will fall in love with Luke.”
Luke Warm Sex premieres at 9pm on Wednesday 16 March on ABC. Following this, all six episodes will be available on ABC iview.
