The Australian Academy of Cinema Television Arts (AACTA) has announced that comedian, presenter, and actress Amanda Keller will host the 2022 AACTA Awards Ceremony presented by Foxtel Group.
Keller will host the screen industry’s night of celebrations, dedicated to honouring the creatives behind the best films, TV, and digital entertainment from the past year. The Network 10 star is joined by industry giant Rove McManus, who will also host today’s AACTA Industry Awards.
Keller said: “I guess I’m a volunteer tour guide, my flag on a stick held aloft to take everyone through the sights, sounds and smells of the AACTA Awards. Looking at the calibre of nominees and guests, I think we will be inhaling the intoxicating and sweet smell of success.”
Keller and McManus will share the stage with a line-up of presenters, including Rebel Wilson, AACTA nominated actors Mark Coles-Smith and James Majoos – who are both vying for the Best Lead Actor in a Drama presented by Foxtel, and comedians Magda Szubanski, Celia Pacquola and Rhys Nicholson.
Accomplished Australian stage and screen stars Guy Pearce, Erik Thomson, Claudia Karvan and Sigrid Thornton will present alongside talented up-and-comers, including Coco Jack Gillies and Chloe Hayden, who star in AACTA nominated productions competing for Awards this year.
