On Thursday, 10 held a 2021 Upclose event which previewed the rest of the year at the broadcaster.
The digital-only event opened with chief sales officer Rod Prosser who talked about the ViacomCBS social conscience and the importance of that to a more discerning consumer.
The network played a highlight reel of its commercial projects so far in 2021, showing the different types of advertising partnerships that were activated on ViacomCBS’s brands throughout the year.
National sales director Lisa Squillace talked about 10’s progressive audience and viewing habits and how that applied to advertisers before showing a sizzle reel of 10’s slate for the rest of the year.
Head of programming Daniel Monaghan spoke about the content, promising fresh content six nights a week. He then went into more detail about returning shows and the casts such as Australian Survivor, The Bachelor Australia, The Bachelorette Australia, The Masked Singer Australia, and Celebrity MasterChef.
Monaghan also previewed the new franchises that will be debuting late this year in Making it Australia, and The Dog House Australia.
10 also announced award-winning documentary maker Todd Sampson is back with Mirror Mirror, a provocative exploration of body image and the search for the ideal of beauty.
The event then showed a preview of Paramount+ including footage of the exclusive new season of Five Bedrooms and the A-League which will be on Paramount+ from next season.
Chief content officer & EVP ViacomCBS Australia and New Zealand Beverley McGarvey spoke more about the new platform which offers a library of original series, TV shows and movies across every genre from world-renowned brands and production studios including Showtime, BET, CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures, the Smithsonian Channel and Sony Pictures Television, in addition to premier local content.

McGarvey then the event by talking about the commitment that the company has made to Football Australia with the five-year agreement seeing the A-League broadcast every Saturday night during the season, with the A-League’s match of the round broadcast live at 7:30pm.
10 Bold will be the new home of the Westfield W-League, with a match broadcast live every Sunday of the season. All free-to-air matches will also be simulcast on 10 Play.
All A-League and Westfield W-League games will be available on Paramount+ which launches on Wednesday, 11 August for $8.99, with football fans and club members given a special deal to access all games.
The deal will also see all the Australian National Teams and the FFA Cup matches broadcast across Network 10 and the soon-to-be-launched Paramount+.
