Seven managed to win the TV ratings night with the biggest network share. However a smaller audience watching the football in Melbourne allowed Nine to win the night in primary share.
Seven
The AFL was a big factor as it fills Seven’s Saturday schedule across Seven and 7mate depending on the market. The football audience in Melbourne dropped from 203,000 to 148,000 week-on-week. However the audience in Perth on 7mate saw the Eagles collapse against the Bombers. The 7mate Perth football audience was up from 101,000 to 127,000 week-on-week, not far behind the size of the Melbourne audience. The AFL network audience weas 368,000, down from 446,000 a week ago.
Nine
Nine posted its best TV ratings share since February and it was also the first time it had recorded a winning Saturday share since then.
A Current Affair was a contributor to Nine’s winning primary share with 518,000.
The launch of David Attenborough’s A Perfect Planet was on 417,000.
The programmers found another dinosaur movie with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom on 232,000.
10
The Dog House had a good week for the channel with the audience on 332,000 as share lifted from 7.1% to 8.0% week-on-week.
The movie A Quiet Place kept just over half of that crowd with 182,000 watching.
ABC
The Durrells regulars are loyal with another 250,000 following life on Corfu. In contrast Sanditon has again saw its numbers slip week-on-week. In three weeks the audience has trended down from 259,000 to 208,000 to 189,000 last night.
SBS
Two episodes of The World’s Most Scenic Railway Journeys led the way for SBS last night with audiences of 198,000 and then 162,000.
