Seven
The channel and the network were again big winners in the TV ratings. The domination started with Seven News with 1.04m at 6pm with over 300,000 in both Sydney and Melbourne tuning in for the latest on the Sydney lockdown.
Seven had plenty of AFL on offer with afternoon matches going into all markets except Melbourne. The matches combined had 265,000 watching with just over 80,000 in both Adelaide and Perth. The Saturday Night Football featured Melbourne claiming a hard-fought victory over Essendon with 379,000 watching – 269,000 of them in Melbourne.
Nine
Nine News was just over 900,000 with 355,000 in Sydney – the single biggest TV audience of the day.
A Current Affair was then on 580,000 followed by A Perfect Planet on 355,000.

Another new low for Saturday share since March. At 5pm 10 News First was on 337,000. A repeat of The Dog House did 299,000 with Ambulance Australia then on 197,000.
ABC
The Durrells pushed back above 300,000 followed by Sanditon on 225,000.
On Saturday at 11am and then 2pm ABC News had audiences over 200,000 for its NSW Health press conferences with news about the latest Covid outbreak.
SBS
The primary channel enjoyed its highest Saturday share since Mardi Gras back in February. An audience of 159,000 tuned in for the first stage of the 2021 Tour de France.
