The 6pm Saturday news bulletins easily topped the TV ratings. Seven News ranked #1 across the network and in Sydney. Yet Nine had the biggest single TV audience on Saturday with 282,000 watching Nine News in Melbourne at 6pm.
The biggest non-news TV ratings audience was for the Anzac eve AFL clash between Melbourne and Richmond. The Tigers set the pace early, but the Demons then settled and slowly built a lead that the form team for the past few years was unable to dent. The Perth AFL audience of 105,000 watched the Dockers on 7mate play in an empty Optus Stadium. The combined Seven evening AFL audience was 408,000 – 273,000 in Melbourne and just 30,000 in Sydney.
The second Music from the Home Front concert on Nine started with Delta Goodrem and her version of The Voice with 230,000 watching. That is well down on the 815,000 watching in metro markets last year.
