TV ratings: Seven
Seven had the biggest Friday TV ratings shares again with a network share of 38.3%. Seven can also boast the highest primary channel share of the two leading multichannels with 7mate on 7.3% and 7TWO on 3.9%.
AFL was again the big driver with network shares in the AFL states all over 40%.
Seven News at 6pm set the bar high early in the evening with 1.057m.
The Friday Night Football featured a semi-final between Geelong and GWS with Geelong reversing recent form with a strong win. The metro audience was 698,000 with 412,000 in Melbourne and a slightly disappointing 47,000 in Sydney.
Host Joh Griggs (above) was getting stuck into truffles on Better Homes and Gardens with 337,000 watching her end the show with truffle flavoured gin.
Nine
Nine News 6pm started the Friday primetime news hour on 924,000.
A Current Affair did 583,000, down from 633,000 a week ago.
The NRL didn’t set any records with 308,000 watching the Penrith easily account for Paramatta. The audience was 211,000 in Sydney, 74,000 in Brisbane.

10 News First at 5pm was the first of three entries in the top 20 programs for the channel with 380,000.
The Project 7pm just missed attracting the channel’s biggest audience with 374,000.
The Living Room just snuck into the top 20 with 311,000.
ABC
Gardening Australia was up week-on-week from 425,000 to 452,000.
The Midsomer Murders repeat was then on 374,000.
SBS
World News was on 175,000 an 6.30pm.
More of Secrets of Egypt’s Valley of the Kings then had 129,000.
