• Footy boosts Seven and Nine as Vera repeat helps ABC

TV Ratings

Seven news was the top news bulletin last night, as football dominated the night with the NRL the #1 non-news program in Sydney and Brisbane while the AFL was #1 in Melbourne and #1 non-news in Adelaide and Perth. Vera was the #1 entertainment show last night.

Nine

A Current Affair had 529,000 viewers as the show put cheap clones of Apple, Kathmandu, Nutribullet up against the real deal to see if customers get their money’s worth.

The NRL then had 304,000 viewers for its Friday night coverage as The Parramatta Eels easily dispatch the Brisbane Broncos. This continued a trend of the Eels tormenting the Broncos that dates back to the first week of the finals in 2019, which has seen them put a cricket score on the Queensland team several times since then.

Seven

Seven had the top primary (23.5%) and network (34.6%) share last night. This is the second night in a row that Seven has been #1 after winning Thursday night off the back of Home and Away.

The AFL coverage had 531,000 tune in to watch the Western Bulldogs play the Greater Western Sydney Giants. 302,000 watched from Melbourne as the Victorian team emerged victorious, making the coverage the #1 program in the city.

Better and Homes and Gardens was also a strong performer in primetime bringing in 458,000.

10

The Living Room had 288,000 tune in on 10, as the show was joined by I’m a Celebrity alumni Colin Fassnidge.

ABC

The most watched entertainment show last night was a repeat of Vera with 472,000 viewers tuning in for the British mystery. Gardening Australia proceeded Vera with 401,000.
