Total TV ratings Friday September 24
The two biggest TV ratings improvers week-on-week were the two ABC British dramas.
Des saw the overnight audience lift 37% and a total audience of 882,000 including 96,000 watching on BVOD.
An episode of Capital was up 34% in overnights with its total audience on 495,000.
The Total TV audience watching the NRL Preliminary Final on Nine was 1,226,000 with 99,000 watching on BVOD.
Overnight TV ratings Metro Friday October 1
Seven was the clear Friday leader with the 7.30pm timeslot and then the 8.30pm movie the big difference between the two channels.
Seven
Seven News was the leader across the hour with 1.016m and 983,000.
Better Homes and Gardens was on 542,000, up over 100,000 week-on-week.
As well as leading 6pm and then 7pm, Seven was a clear commercial leader after 8.30pm with the movie Crazy Rich Asians on 365,000.
Nine
An NRL Preliminary Final match a week ago gave Nine a big win. That share of 25.9% dropped over nine points though this week.
A Current Affair Friday was on 664,000, but the numbers dropped to 290,000 after 7.30pm with Country House Hunters in all markets except Melbourne where viewers were offered Every Heart Beats True: The Jim Stynes Story.
The Nine movie Catch Me If You Can was on 163,000.

The Project was down a little week-on-week from 399,000 to 383,000.
The Living Room lifted to 333,000 after 275,000 the previous week.
ABC
Gardening Australia dipped just below half a million for the first time in a couple of weeks.
The second episode of the crime drama Des then did 387,000, winning its timeslot, after the mini-series starring David Tennant launched on 414,000.
SBS
Secrets of Egypt’s Valley of the Kings was locked on 148,000 for a second consecutive week.
The World’s Most Extraordinary Homes then did 111,000.
