• Gogglebox is once again 10’s top program
Total TV Ratings, September 1
The AFL finals match between Brisbane and Richmond was the top total TV program for September 1 with an audience of 1.094m viewers. This was an increase of 1% on the game’s overnight ratings.
10’s Gogglebox was the top entertainment program of the night with 741,000 viewers, which was a sizeable increase of 44% on its overnight viewership.

Seven has secured another win in the TV ratings survey after producing both the top primary channel share (21.4%) and network share (28.9%) last night. The bedrock of this success was the Thursday night staple of three back-to-back episodes of Home and Away, which saw the first two episodes average 425,000 viewers before the third and final ep had 384,000 tune in. The Front Bar had 351,000 viewers tune in from 8:30pm as the show continues to dominate the Melbourne market with 217,000 coming from the city, making it the top non-news program in the market.
On Nine, A Curret Affair had 571,000 viewers as John Van De Putte talked about the death of his 14-year-old daughter after she and four other teenagers died in a car crash. RBT then filled the regular programming slot of the NRL at 7:30 and had 455,000 viewers.
On 10, Shaun Micallef’s Brain Eisteddfod had 247,000 viewers, and Gogglebox then followed with 410,000 in the 8:30pm timeslot.
On the ABC, Foreign Correspondent took 399,000 viewers to the Colorado River before 225,000 tuned in for Q+A.
The top program on SBS was a repeat of Inside Aldi which had 143,000 viewers tune in.
