Seven’s Saturday Night football finals topped Total TV with a growth of 868,000 lifting by 1%.
The biggest jump in commercial primetime viewing goes to ABC’s Bay of Fires, where the Total TV audience grew by 78% to reach 190,000 viewers.
Overnight TV Ratings, September 16
Seven enjoyed a Saturday night win in both the network and primary channel shares with 32.2% and 42.5%, respectively. 7mate won the multichannels with 4.7%.
Seven’s Saturday Night AFL saw the Giants take a 23-point victory over Port Adelaide ending with 93-70. 750,000 tuned in. Next week will be the start of the preliminary finals as only two teams will survive to face each other at the Grand Final.
Nine’s coverage of the Knights v Warriors match saw 354,000 tune in as the Warriors smashed with 40-10. This also leaves only four teams left meaning next weeks Finals week 3 will determine who will face whom in the GF. The Panthers are set to take on the Storm while the Warriors have booked a spot with the Broncos.
On the ABC, Shakespeare and Hathaway was viewed by 339,000 as Frank and Lu are called to Startford’s Silicon Valley. Vera saw 332,000 as Vera investigated the death of a mysterious businessman.
10 aired The Dog House Australia to 149,000 as the program met with the crowded Sorrell house who were looking for a new pet.
SBS aired Queen Victoria’s Royal Mob to 74,000.

On Fox League, the Warriors beat the Knights 40-10 in front of 255,000.
Fox Footy saw GWS smash Port Adelaide by 23 points as 244,00 tuned in.
