Total TV Ratings, October 20
Home and Away was the top entertainment program in the total TV ratings with an average of 901,000 tuning into the first two episodes, an increase of 23% on its overnight ratings. The third and final episode of the night had 848,000 viewers, an increase of 26%.
Gogglebox was the top program of the night for 10 with 808,000 viewers, an increase of 29% on its overnight ratings.
The biggest increase in the total TV ratings belonged to SBS’s Handmaid’s Tale which went up an astonishing 412% to 527,000.

It was another close battle in the TV ratings between Seven and Nine as the year starts to come to a close. The Nine had #1 primary channel share last night with 20.6%, while Seven had the top network share with 28.4%.
On Nine, the driving force was A Current Affair which had 554,000 viewers as it investigated the Geelong Revival Centre. RBT then followed at 7:30pm with 402,000 viewers.
On Seven, Home and Away continues to carry the load on Thursday nights as three back-to-back-to-back episodes once again rated well for the advertiser. The first two episodes had an average of 428,000 viewers before the third and final episode of the night had 364,000 tune in.
On 10, the top entertainment program of the night was Gogglebox with 493,000 viewers as the was also the best show of the night for 10 overall. The Real Love Boat had 169,000 viewers at 8:30pm.
On the ABC, The Budget 2022/2023: Opposition Reply had 285,000 viewers tune in.
The top non-news program on SBS was The World’s Most Scenic Railway Journeys with 107,000.
