Seven’s AFL: Grand Final: Geelong v Sydney, which saw The Cats beat The Swans by 81 points was the most-watched program on total TV, reaching 2,973,000 people and rising by 0%.

The AFL coverage continued to dominate total TV, also claiming the next two spots, with the Grand Final presentations reaching 2,505,000 people (3% lift) and On The Ground clocking 2,272,000 (1% lift). 

Nine’s Rugby League Final Series PF2 increased by 13% to reach 1,321,000 people. 

Vera on ABC experienced the biggest increase on total TV with 22% to reach a total audience of 223,000.

Seven has experienced a Saturday win with a network share of 32% and a primary channel share of 19.6%, while 7flix took out the multichannel win with 4.9%. 

Seven’s Border Security – Australia’s Front Line was the top entertainment program of the night, bringing in 396,000 views. On the program, a young designer from LA arrived with a suspicious bag, while biosecurity officers uncovered a huge quantity of high-risk items in the luggage of a Chinese student. Later in the night, Seven aired the 1996 film Independence Day starring Will Smith, which clocked 231,000 views.

On Nine, A Current Affair topped the night with 446,000 views. The program looked at a bizarre chess feud that’s quickly becoming one of the strangest scandals of the year and met with passionate fans of the NRL. Getaway clocked 267,000 views, while the 2017 film Wonder Woman reached an audience of 195,000.

On ABC, a repeat of Death in Paradise was the network’s most-watched program, clocking 347,000 views. In the episode, Benedict Dacre rules the roost at the Paradise Skies Coffee plantation in the wake of his father’s death. Later in the night, Marriage reached 171,000 people as Jamie received an unexpected visitor, and Emma decided to tell her father some truths.

On 10, 10 News First reached 190,000 people, while Secrets of the Royal Palaces on SBS clocked 144,000 views.

Fox Sports 506 has taken out the top two spots on subscription TV. The dedicated motorsports channel aired the F1 Singapore Grand Prix qualifying which reached 61,000, followed by the F1 practice 3 with 49,000.

Selling Houses Australia on the Lifestyle Channel took out the third spot with 34,000 views, while the 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup clocked 31,000 as the Australian Opals won bronze.
