Travel Guides was the top non-news program last night with 719,000 viewers. The number may have been helped by the absence of Hard Quiz, with the shows having battled it out for a number of weeks.
The show took viewers to the South Korean city of Seoul and stayed in the country’s tallest building, Lotte World Tower. While there the guides visited the Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea, the Noryangjin fish markets, and then experienced a K-Pop inspired makeover and dance class.
Next up was the Doctor Doctor finale with the Australian drama coming to an end after five seasons in front of an audience of 516,000. The episode saw Hugh finally choose between the city and his hometown of Whyhope and also the two women that he loves.
Footy Classified then had 81,000 viewers.
Seven TV Ratings
Seven was the top primary channel last night with a 21.1% share, and was also the top network with 29.1%
On Big Brother, 652,000 watched as the house was down to only five housemates after a tough 62 days of gameplay.
Big Brother dropped a bombshell – the day’s nomination challenges would be played over two rounds and the two winners would each be putting up one housemate for eviction.
Christina held on for dear life to take out the first challenge and nominated SJ.
In the second challenge, Ari held steady to win the power and nominated Danny, while making Danny believe he’d be putting his vote on SJ.
At the eviction ceremony, it soon became clear to Danny that he’d been played by Ari and Christina.
“I got outplayed by a 22-year-old and a 21-year-old who just smashed me all over the eviction room and I didn’t really see that coming,” said Danny. “I got blindsided. It was awesome, I’m so lucky to have had that experience. I think SJ will go and top three will be Ari, Marley and Christina.”
The episode was #1 in the key demo of 18-49.
The Front Bar then had 361,000 in the Wednesday night timeslot. The episode had 245,000 Melbourne viewers making it the top non-news program in the city.

The Project had 258,000 (6:30) and 474,000 (7:00pm) as the show covered the NSW Covid outbreak, Clive Palmer‘s anti-vaxxing claims, and was joined by Cal Wilson.
MasterChef had 582,000 viewers tune in for the Mystery Box challenge but in a twist, there was just one huge Mystery Box at the front of the room with a projector playing messages from contestant’s families.
Each cook had 75 minutes to make a dish inspired by family, with the winner joining Thursday’s immunity challenge. Sabina won thanks to her fisherman’s stew.
ABC TV Ratings
The ABC has continued to turn over its Wednesday night comedy lineup with two new editions this week.
The first was Win the Week the new half-hour quiz show which pairs everyday Australians with celebrities. The show is hosted by Alex Lee (The Checkout, The Feed) with regular team member Craig Reucassel (War on Waste, The Chaser). The premiere had 488,000 viewers, as it attempted to fill the big shoes of Hard Quiz which regularly had over 600,000 viewers in the same slot.
Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell continued at its regular time and had 507,000 viewers as the episode talked about the vaccine rollout and Barnaby Joyce‘s return to the Nationals leadership.
The ABC then returned to having a sitcom in the 9pm slot like it did earlier in the year with Aftertaste and Fisk, with the new comedy Starstruck taking the place of You Can’t Ask That. The comedy written by and starring Rose Matafeo had 280,000 viewers for its first episode.
Superwog then aired the second episode of its second season, with 109,000 viewers.
SBS TV Ratings
On SBS the top non-news program was a repeat of Britain’s Cathedrals with Tony Robinson which had 158,000 viewers.
