ABC had the program with the highest lift on total TV as Smother lifted 38% for 352,000.
On Nine, A Current Affair increased by 8% to deliver a total TV audience of 808,000.
Overnight TV Ratings, June 2
Seven dominated the Friday night shares with a primary channel share of 25.9% and a network share of 36.2%, while 7mate won the multichannels with 4.5%.
In the AFL, Melbourne went head-to-head with Carlton to claim a 17-point victory in front of 439,000 on Seven’s Friday Night AFL. 251,000 Melbourne residents tuned in to watch the match. Earlier in the night, The Chase aired to 523,000, claiming the top entertainment slot, while Better Homes and Gardens had 374,000 as Ed cooked up some matzo ball soup.
Nine’s Friday night NRL pulled in an audience of 270,000 as the Raiders beat the Tigers by 1 point ending with 20-19. Nine’s top program of the night was A Current Affair, with 522,000. The program met with a tenant trapped in a bitter battle with a landlord who is blocking her from entering her own yard.
On ABC, Gardening Australia topped entertainment with 333,000, as Costa met flower show designers.
On 10, 194,000 tuned into The Project, while 167,000 watched the lifeguards compete in their annual run, swim and paddle race.
The highest-rated non-news show on SBS was Marseille: Birth of a Megapolis, with 88,000.

Fox League topped the STV chart for Friday with the Raiders beating out the Tigers in a close 1-point game that was tight to the last second as the Tigers couldn’t convert a field goal to take the game to golden point. The final score was 20-19. 287,000 tuned in for the match.
The Melbourne v Carlton match on Fox Footy came in second on subscription TV, clocking 239,000 views. The Demons won by 17 points at the MCG closing out the game 61-44.
