• MAFS #1 entertainment as ABC gets silver with comedy gold
Total TV Ratings, February 9
Married at First Sight is once again #1 in the total TV ratings after registering 1.812m viewers, an increase of 55%. The episode saw the show wade into the debate of having sex while a woman has her period.
Home and Away was the top non-news program for Seven with 1.033m viewers, an increase of 24% on its overnight ratings.
Hard Quiz led the way for the ABC’s entertainment programs with 906,000 viewers, up 13%.

Winter Olympics
The Winter Olympics continue to chug along as it approaches the closing ceremony. Yesterday’s coverage was hosted by Joh Griggs, Matt Shirvington, Emma Freedman, Hamish McLachlan, Abbey Gelmi, and the events included men’s aerials, biathlon, men’s alpine slalom gold, ice hockey, and men’s slalom alpine.

Seven
Seven was the top network last night, thanks in part to the success of its multichannels, with 7mate leading the way with a 4.3% share. The topping the night for 7mate was The Enforcer with 97,0000.
Home and Away was the top entertainment program on Seven in prime time as the Aussie soap brought in 507,000 viewers. The chase was the top non-news program overall with 542,000 viewers.
Nine
Nine has claimed a valuable win during the early stages of the TV ratings survey for 2022, by being the top primary channel (23.8%) despite the Winter Olympics coverage on Seven.
Married at First Sight (MAFS) led the way for Nine with 922,000 viewers. The episode featured another dramatic dinner party by the brides and grooms, as Andrew dramatically walked out and claimed to be ‘going home’. MAFS was also #1 in all key demos.
Under Investigation with Liz Hayes then had 364,000 as the show covered UFOs. This follows the show launching its second season with 357,000 viewers.

The Project had 199,000 (6:30pm) and 367,000 (7:00pm) as the show covered Russia saying it’s withdrawing troops from Ukraine’s border, and the spike in mental health emergency calls.
Ambulance Australia then had 278,000 viewers, following its launch of 284,000 last week.
ABC
ABC’s comedy lineup continues to provide gold for both viewers and the network as 550,000 tuned in for Hard Quiz, before 482,000 watched Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell.
SBS
The top program on SBS was Inside Air Force One with 142,000 viewers.
