Nine’s Getaway and Space Invaders lead non-sport and non-news, Broncos v Raiders #1 STV

ABC’s Under the Vines grew its audience by 20% in the overnights with 68% more watching 7-day timeshift making a Total TV audience of 413,000. (No BVOD numbers available at time of writing.)

The biggest jump in commercial primetime viewing goes to Nine’s Space Invaders where the Total TV audience was on 403,000 with an extra 39,000 being added to the overnight metro and regional numbers.

Seven was the TV ratings star performer with the network kicking the goal for victory that eluded the Sydney Swans in the cliffhanger the network broadcast from the SCG. An audience of 371,000 were watching the game which wasn’t decided until a kick fell short of its destination as the siren sounded. Earlier in the night Seven News ranked #1 with 663,000.

Nine’s best was also its News with an audience of 597,000. Space Invaders than had a crowd of 276,000.
The numbers then dropped as Nine’s programmers chose Noah for a Biblical theme with 129,000 watching the building of the ark.

Network 10 went out on Easter Saturday with two repeat episodes of The Dog House Australia early in the evening. Ep one managed 142,000 but the barking got louder later with 193,000 for the second. Blue Bloods followed on 118,000.

The best on ABC was the imaginatively rebranded ABC News at Easter with 397,000. The Larkins followed with 270,000. The New Zealand lifestyle drama Under the Vines then had 232,000 watching.

News was the highpoint at SBS with 111,000. Wonders of Europe then followed on 104,000. Most interesting program of the night was perhaps a doco on Royal Family snapper Arthur Edwards with an audience of 72,000 watching his Life with the Royal Family.

Just two NRL games last night. The Raiders downed the Broncos in front of a Fox League audience of 367,000. Earlier in the day just under 300,000 saw Panthers dominate Sea Eagles.

The Richmond v Bulldogs match performed best for Fox Footy as the Bulldogs won by less than a goal.
