The heart-warming Farmer Wants A Wife Reunion will see farmers and their partners reunite one last time to reflect on their journeys, plus co-host Natalie Gruzlewski has a special surprise in store.
The reunion is set to air Monday at 7.30pm on Channel Seven and 7plus.
This season was one for the history books, as all five farmers found love – Andrew with Claire, Brenton with Sophie, Brad with Clare, David with Emily, and Matt with Olivia.
After nine weddings, five long-term relationships and 25 babies throughout the history of the show, in a trailer dropped for the reunion there are hints that one more pair may be engaged.
“Will one of them propose?” the voicover teases. “Who will be the first down the wedding aisle?”
In another shot, Brad can be heard sayong that he and Clare “might go ring shopping”.
In another teaser moment, host Samantha Armytage asks Olivia, “Did Matt give you some jewellery?”
Ahead of the season airing, Mediaweek spoke with head of reality at the Seven Network Sylvia D’Souza.
For D’Souza, the success of the show boils down to one thing: genuine farmers.
“It’s really authentic,” she said. “You get down-to-earth farmers who don’t participate in reality TV normally. People talk about ‘authentic’ and ‘genuine’, which becomes a buzzword that has no meaning, but in this show, it’s real and I think the audience sees that.”
While some farmers in the past haven’t found their perfect match, this year, the farmers were on a mission to find someone who they connected with.
“These guys came into it with such genuine and open hearts. That’s what made this series successful. They were open to finding real love and they were determined. Their mindsets were great.”
