International magician of the year, Cosentino, celebrates 10 years as Australia’s most successful magician, illusionist and death-defying escape artist with a new television special, Cosentino: Decennium premiering 7.30 pm Tuesday, May 2 on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Cosentino first appeared in 2011 when he was a runner-up on Australia’s Got Talent. Since then, he has achieved success both in Australia and internationally, touring to packed houses and rave reviews around the world, while his prime-time television specials have aired in more than 40 countries and been seen by over 750 million people across the globe.

To celebrate his journey, Cosentino has created his biggest and boldest stage production, Decennium.

Decennium is already Cosentino’s most successful live show, breaking ticket sales records across the country and now, Seven will premiere the experience from home.

Cosentino: Decennium features his most death-defying escapes, his greatest ever stage illusions and cutting-edge street magic that will twist your view of reality, as well as a showstopping homage to Cosentino’s personal idol, the great Harry Houdini.

His trademark blend of dance and magic with a touch of hilarious audience participation takes viewers on a journey that will captivate fans, new and old, until the very last moment.

Cosentino: Decennium premieres 7:30 pm on Tuesday 2 May on Channel 7 and 7plus.

At the end of last year, Mediaweek spoke to Cosentino about his Decennium live tour as well as his latest book – Tricked – which is a follow-up to his autobiographical Anything Is Possible.

Being confined to a hotel room helped the writing process, he told Mediaweek. “I wrote it during Covid. I remember being in hotel quarantine in Queensland last year, and I’m writing the book during two weeks of hours and hours and hours locked in a hotel room. Basically, 20 hours a day spent working on this book.”
