Anne Wild, managing director of Anne Wild & Associates (AWA), has been appointed to the board of Travel Lifestyle Network (TLN) as head of special projects.
TLN is a global collective of independent PR and marketing communications agencies that provide specialist services to clients in the travel and lifestyle sectors and is active in 23 countries.
Shared clients span tourism boards, destinations, hotels and resorts, spa and wellness retreats, visitor attractions, airlines, cruise lines, tour operators and travel agents, food and beverage brands, fashion houses, cosmetic companies and luxury labels.
Wild brings more than 30 years of experience in public relations and marketing communications to the role, and has previously served on the TLN board as head of APAC region.
With international borders now open, she will address members at TLN’s upcoming annual general meeting in Italy in June. She will deliver an update on trends in the Australian tourism industry, which will be joined by AWA’s head of travel and lifestyle Anna Caswell.
Network members are market leaders in travel and lifestyle communications, with the ability to work collaboratively to deliver clients campaigns combining the best of local knowledge with global reach. AWA is the network’s representative agency for the Australian and New Zealand markets.
Wild said of her appointment: “The complex and constantly evolving rules and regulations impacting the travel industry during the pandemic, as well as fluctuations in consumer and industry sentiment, have underlined the value of having strong connections with agencies around the world, all of which have an intimate knowledge of key issues and trends in their individual markets, as well as the way campaigns, messaging and consumer behaviours translate right across the globe.”
She continued: “As an independent agency with a dedicated Travel & Lifestyle division for more than twenty years, travel is in AWA’s DNA. By tapping into the TLN knowledge base, clients enjoy access to the best in the business worldwide, via one point of contact on the ground in their country of origin.
“We have been an active member of TLN for over 10 years, enhancing our agency offering by sharing insights that only those on the ground can provide on behalf of our domestic and international clients,” Wild added.
There are a number of special projects TLN planned for 2022, including global think tanks, exhibition at leading consumer and travel trade events, and the development of a comprehensive international research project which will provide salient insights into trends across the travel, tourism and lifestyle sectors worldwide.
