In the promotional lead-up to the debut of season 2 of Transparent, the first episode has been made available this week on Stan. The season will be available in full from 12 December on the streaming service, matching the release of the show on Amazon Instant Video in the US.
One of the justified complaints levelled against streaming services is how few older titles are made available, with very little from pre-1975. With that in mind, it’s great to see Stan has a couple of cinema greats on the service this week, with titles including The Third Man, Jules and Jim, and The 400 Blows.
Not to be left behind, Presto has added a handful of great dramas this month, including the modern indie classics Before Sunset and Synecdoche, New York. Also on offer is the excellent Ordinary People.
This weekly update includes all shows added to local streaming services Thursday 18 November to Wednesday 25 November 2015. Stan and Presto listings are provided by the platforms themselves. Fetch TV, SBS On Demand, and Netflix listings are made available to us by Gyde.
