The Pistol has welcomed two new recruits to its senior leadership bench with the appointments of Dan Collado as head of client service, and Leon Jayasinghe as development lead.
Collado brings fifteen years of agency client engagement experience from his time at Isobar, The Royals, and most recently AKQA, spanning Australia and Japan.
The newly appointed head of client service is an experienced client partner and digital marketer with a passion for solving clients’ business problems through the creative application of technology. In the role, Collado will focus on overseeing relationships with marquee clients, as well as optimising the agency’s approach to client strategy and service.
Collado said of joining the full-service digital agency: “Aside from a clear alignment of values and the calibre of The Pistol’s team, I’m excited about The Pistol’s thoroughbred agency smarts across technology, strategy and creative services, combined with the agility and entrepreneurial spirit akin to a tech start-up.
“As a client lead, this offers a compelling point of difference and enormous potential to bring value to our client relationships,” he added.
Jayasinghe brings almost two decades of experience as a software engineer, including two-and-a-half years as a lecturer in IT. He joins from Directed Australia, where he helped to develop intelligent fleet management solutions for transport and logistics companies.
As development lead, Jayasinghe will oversee the agency’s team of developers, and has been tasked with staying abreast of new and emerging tech to ensure The Pistol’s client programs and campaigns make full and effective use of these to maximise outcomes for clients.
The Pistol’s CEO, Jaime Nosworthy, said: “We are focused on growing our clients’ businesses by reducing friction at every stage of the path to purchase. This requires smart and effective integration across disciplines, including technology, strategy and creative.
“Dan and Leon’s skills help round out our senior leadership to deliver excellence at every touchpoint and stay ahead of the innovation curve,” she added of both appointments.
