Melbourne’s 101.9 The Fox’s breakfast show, Fifi, Fev & Nick have started their attempt at a world first official Guinness World Record: Longest marathon for a radio music show DJ (team).
Breakfast hosts Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola and Nick Cody plus their anchor Josiah Shala will take over The Fox radio station for a total of 27 hours non-stop from Thursday, 1 June 6.00 am AEST to Friday, 2 June 9.00 am AEST, they will be hosting – breakfast, mornings, afternoons, drive, evenings, nights, late nights, dawns and breakfast again.
There will be an official Guinness World Record adjudicator on site and Fifi, Fev & Nick will know at 9.00 am AEST on Friday, 2 June if they have achieved the record.
Special guests who will join them throughout the broadcast will include PM Anthony Albanese, Carrie & Tommy, Tones and I, Hamish & Andy, Eddie McGuire, Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes, Peter Helliar, Ant Middleton, Larry Emdur, Marty Sheargold, Billy Brownless, Karl Stefanovic and more.
The record is for the longest time to act as a DJ and continually announce during a live radio broadcast, the team is under very strict rules from on-air talking, music, ads and content.
Last month, Fifi, Fev & Nick took their Brekky in the Burbs to Tabcorp Park in Melton, Melbourne.
The breakfast trio were joined by over 500 listeners who took part in the festivities of what was its biggest Brekky and the Burbs yet.
The broadcast also raised funds for the local school community of Exford Primary School, who were involved in a tragic bus crash last week. Alyssa Micallef, a teacher at Exford Primary School, came down to see Fifi, Fev and Nick.
The trio entertained their audience as they hosted their breakfast show and even enjoyed a dance break to the Nutbush in honour of Tina Turner.
Fifi, Fev & Nick’s Brekky in the Burbs has seen the trio travel to Frankston, Hoppers Crossing and the iconic Ramsay Street.
