TAXIBOX launches an 'out of the box' campaign via Communicado

Ben Cohn: ‘We’re chuffed with the final result – there are endless places we can take our unhinged squirrel and its love of its nuts.’

TAXIBOX has launched a new through-the-line brand campaign via Communicado, which developed a creative platform that showed just how ‘out of the box’ the mobile storage company is.

The out of the box storage embodies what the brand is all about: rethinking storage with the customer in mind, taking traditional storage with a whole new flexible model. Not only does TAXIBOX provide mobile storage, the company can move belongings to their facility or even interstate, making storage completely adaptable to everyone’s individual needs.

Based on the insight that people who need storage are often renovating, decluttering or moving – some of the most stressful events in life – the campaign shows that with TAXIBOX’s mobile storage, there’s no hassle and no stress. Unlike traditional storage brands, TAXIBOX comes to the customer and takes their stuff wherever they need it to be.

The campaign sets TAXIBOX apart from competitors via a giant talking (slightly unhinged) squirrel. A squirrel who needs help storing his many nuts. Launching in March, the nutso creative will be on BVOD, OOH, street posters, radio, transit and online.

“After brainstorming a total of nearly seven creative territories (and putting the Communicado team through the wringer in the process!), we finally landed on ‘Out of the Box Storage’,” Ben Cohn, TAXIBOX CEO, said.

“It’s a space we feel is well aligned with who we are and allows us to reinforce our disruptive position in a generally dry industry. We’re chuffed with the final result – there are endless places we can take our unhinged squirrel and its love of its nuts.”

Communicado’s executive creative director, Annie Price, said: “Storage stress affects us all. And the poster boy for the cause has to be a squirrel.  So we cast a giant one with serious nut issues and the rest is history.

“Very proud of the team for this one. And a big thanks to our production partners at Truce, PA’s and Content Hustlers. Dream team.”

The agency delivers integrated thinking and creative solutions, combined with PR, digital and shopper delivery for some of Australia’s most loved brands including BabyLove, Asahi Beverages, Petstock, Dulux and Carpet Court.
