Overnight TV Ratings, January 19
Nine inched out the Friday night primary channel and network shares with 28.1% and 36.3%, respectively. 7TWO won the multichannels with 4%.
Seven’s The Chase aired to 174,000, while Day 3 of the first test between Australia and the West Indies saw 315,000 tune in as Australia won by 10 wickets.
Nine’s night coverage of Day 6 of the Australian Open saw 566,000 tune in as Aussie Alex De Minaur booked his spot in the fourth round after beating Italian Flavio Cobolli. Fellow Aussie Storm Hunter was beaten by Czechia’s Barbora Krejčíková.
On ABC, Midsomer Murders topped entertainment with 250,000, as the team investigated the death of a resident at a police retirement community. Monty Don’s American Gardens also saw 206,000 tune in Monty explored the scenery of the west coast of America. Beginning in Arizona, he also travelled to Palm Springs and Los Angeles, before visiting a tropical getaway in Seattle.
On 10, 154,000 tuned into The Project and The Bold and The Beautiful clocked 119,000 viewers as Steffy worried she made the wrong decision and Finn and Bridget presented an option that put Ridge in an untenable position.
The highest-rated non-news program on SBS was The Welsh Valley that Won the Lottery with 86,000.

The Big Bash Qualifiers: Sixers v Heat on FOX Cricket saw 137,000 tune in as the Sixers defeated the Heat by 39 runs.
The Big Break on FOX Cricket also saw 126,000 tune in and the Big Bash Post Game saw 41,000 stay on.
