Starcom Australia has announced a raft of key staff promotions and appointments.
The developments include the promotion of Nancy Lan from Sydney managing director to the new role of national managing director. Louise Romeo, previously chief client officer, returns from maternity leave to the elevated role of national head of operations and investment. Meanwhile, client services director, David Campbell, has been promoted to the position of mead of Melbourne and group integration.
The agency has also onboarded three new hires to the Melbourne office, with Ivo Kavelj as Melbourne head of HX solutions; Helen Karambilas as groupe business director on Bega; and Louise Noble as business director on FCA. It has also welcomed Jacqui Purcell who returns to Starcom as client services director, to lead Metcash, Aware Super and Visa in the Sydney office.
On the announcements, Starcom Australia CEO, Nick Keenan, said: “The promotion of Nancy, David, and Louise will create a leadership structure that caters for the increasing demands of our product, service, and group marketing solutions for our clients. This sets our agency up for a successful 2022 so that we can continue to not only execute impactful media campaigns, but further our transition to being a digitally-led agency. Our goal is to deliver paid media, digital performance and experience design integrations that enhances our clients’ direct-to-consumer platforms and conversion results.”
As National MD, Nancy Lan will now be responsible for leading Starcom’s ‘People-Powered Growth’ culture in all markets, along with client service outputs and team resources to ensure best-in-class client work. The expansion to a national role will also enable Starcom’s market leads to be more product focused.
In his newly-created role as head of Melbourne and group integration, David Campbell will be charged with leading the Melbourne office, while also further enhancing the agency’s group marketing integration services.
As Starcom’s new national head of operations and investment, Louise Romeo will add the development of automation, and client self-service reporting to her remit. With her team, she will work on key craft systems and processes for Starcom’s clients, working to deliver investment products and trading results.
Meanwhile within the Melbourne office, new hire Ivo Kavelj will work closely with national head of digital, Mark Duffy, to develop and pilot Starcom’s digital performance and technology unit, HX Solutions.
