• Jansen and Murray’s appointments are effective immediately

Spark Foundry has announced key promotions following a period of sustained growth.

The appointments include Lucie Jansen’s elevation to the new role of chief investment officer and Rachida Murray as chief digital officer of the agency.

Jansen moves from her role as national head of investment, and Murray from her position as national head of digital & technology. The promotions, effective immediately, have been designed to allow them to take on more strategic functions, while the leaders within their teams will be focused on managing day-to-day operations.

As part of their broadened remits, Jansen and Murray will drive new product developments, while ensuring existing Spark products remain industry-leading. They will also drive employee training and development within their disciplines, as well as strengthen partnerships across Publicis Groupe, clients and media partners.

Meanwhile, in other promotions, Peter Roins has moved from group client partner, to leading Spark Foundry’s Sydney office as general manager.

Stuart Capel, also previously group client partner, has stepped into the elevated role of national head of operations, charged with ensuring operational excellence for the agency through a focus on efficient processes and the application of technology to solve for legacy system challenges.

Imogen Hewitt, Spark Foundry CEO, said: “Lucie and Rachida’s new roles are a reflection of the contribution they have made to our agency growth, their outstanding leadership, the scale of their teams – and their vision for future-proofing the agency through continuous new product development, upskilling and craft excellence.

“Spark’s in-house end-to-end capability in strategy, planning, investment, digital, technology and analytics sees our teams working in complete collaboration for our clients. This has been a key driver of our strong new client acquisition and retention rate. I’m pleased to say that this growth has allowed us the opportunity to invest in and reward our exceptional talent.”

Jansen said of her promotion: “I’m proud to say that Spark has continued its tremendous trajectory, not only in billings growth but in terms of our clients’ business progression, and our people’s happiness and development.

“A future-focused approach to investment solutions and collaboration with our valued media partners is what will enable us to deliver outcomes for our clients that transcend media metrics and ensure business success,” she added.

Murray said: “Having been with the business for almost eight years, Spark has consistently provided me with challenges and opportunities for professional growth, and this role allows me to bring together best-in-class digital and technology functions to support our clients.

“I believe there has never been a more exciting time to partner with brands facing various challenges in their digital transformation – and to bring them the best solutions,” she added.
