For 13 seasons Shaynna Blaze has been a judge on The Block, as well as helping homeowners spruce up their spaces on Selling Houses Australia. Now, for the first time, Shaynna is doing it for herself and her family in Nine’s new series, Country Home Rescue.
In Country Home Rescue, Shaynna, together with her children, embark on the restoration of a dilapidated historical home in regional Victoria. They will navigate through a never-ending maze of problems when their grand plans are sideswiped by building restrictions, frustrating delays, and a huge budget blowout.
It will take every ounce of passion and persistence to turn this renovation nightmare into the forever home of their dreams. But it will be worth it as room by room is revealed.
In March, After thirteen seasons Blaze, decided to step down from LifeStyle’s Selling Houses Australia.
She had been part of Selling Houses since it first launched in 2008, working alongside real estate expert Andrew Winter and landscape designer Charlie Albone, to perform makeovers of unsellable properties across Australia.
Shaynna Blaze said: “This is such a big decision for me, and one that has not come lightly. I had hoped to be able to continue with Selling Houses Australia while honouring my existing business commitments to clients and working on some exciting personal projects, but once the timing of the production schedule was confirmed, unfortunately trying to juggle everything was going to be too much of a stretch. Selling Houses has led me to where I am today, and I owe both the show and Foxtel a huge debt of gratitude.”
It’s been a big year for Blaze, who also won Nine’s Celebrity Apprentice Australia after raising a record amount of money for her charity Voice of Change, after earning over $475,000 throughout the show including the $100,000 prize money.
