Sports Entertainment Network doesn’t let a week go by without a new launch. This week’s new activity features the expansion of the brand into Tasmania. Three new stations carrying SEN content will be broadcast across Hobart, Devonport and Launceston.
Launching on Friday August 6 was a new Friday breakfast show hosted by Richmond’s Jack Riewoldt and Australian cricket captain Tim Paine. The station carrying the show is 1629 SEN Hobart and the show will also be carried on the SEN app. The show will run for six weeks ahead of the AFL final series and the Ashes.
The SENTrack signal meanwhile will be heard in Devonport and Launceston at 1611 and on the SEN app.
SEN chief executive Craig Hutchison said: “Tasmania has a proud sporting heritage that deserves its own platform and a louder voice on the national sporting stage.
“So much great sport is taking place in Tasmania – from the return of some great AFL football this season, to the pending arrival of the NBL Tasmania Jackjumpers, the popularity of the BBL Hobert Hurricanes and beyond.

He is a very talented broadcaster already and we look forward to seeing that grow in the years to come at SEN.

“We look forward to working closely with Tasmanian sport and also Tasmanian racing and calling some of Tassie’s biggest upcoming events – including the first test this summer and the Big Bash season exclusively on 1629 SEN Hobart.”
Hobert local Boyd Parker has been appointed as SEN Hobart’s head of sales.
