SCA names Steve Brown as director of sales and operations

Steve Brown to replace James Bayes at Southern Cross Austereo as director of digital sales and operations

Southern Cross Austereo today announced Steve Brown (pictured) as its director of digital sales and operations, effective August 27. Brown will take on the leadership role replacing James Bayes. He’ll focus on growing digital sales, driving programmatic and supporting key partnerships

With an extensive media career, and over 10 years working across radio both in Australia with the Australian Radio Network and Nova Entertainment, and the United States with Clear Channel, Brown has an all-inclusive understanding and passion for the value of digital in the media landscape. Having worked with some of the best on-air talent Australia has to offer, and leading brands and agencies, his commercial insight has pioneered solution development and cross platform sales over the last decade.

Brown led product, vendor and commercial innovation at The Catch Group, an independent e-commerce startup, as well as growing an effective and significant sales team.

Brown recently fronted the digital development with News Corp growing traditional business through digital product development, client engagement and delivering commercial audiences by blending multimedia in solutions that deliver genuine ROI.
