NBCUniversal International Networks (NBCUIN) has appointed Jo McAlister as marketing director for Australia and New Zealand, effective 20 August 2016. McAlister will replace Shannon Most, who after almost three years in the role is relocating to NBCUniversal International’s London headquarters to take on the position of vice president, marketing for the networks group. McAlister joins the Sydney-based NBCUniversal Networks team with more than 20 years’ experience in developing and implementing award-winning B2C marketing campaigns, moving on from her latest role as head of group marketing at SBS. Here she has successfully driven audience growth and retention across the SBS portfolio of FTA, STV, radio and online/new media. Key achievements include the rebrand of SBS and launch of the Food Network in 2015 as well as the incredibly successful broadcast of Eurovision 2016.

Previously, McAlister held key marketing roles as the head of marketing for SBS’ STV channels STUDIO and World Movies and within Seven West Media, planning and implementing integrated marketing campaigns for Channel 7, 7TWO and 7mate.
