Sam Smith has cancelled his sold out Australian tour, as well as his scheduled performance at the 57th TV Week Logie Awards due to haemorrhage on his vocal chords.
In a statement, Smith said: “The doctors have told me I need to fully rest until my vocal chords have healed, otherwise this could become a huge long-term issue.”
The UK singer went on to apologise for the cancelations and said the rearranged dates will be announced “very shortly”

[blockquote style=”1″]I am deeply, deeply saddened to tell my Australian fans, I have to cancel my Australian tour.
I have been vocally exhausted for a while now however last night in Sydney I had a small haemorrhage on my vocal chords. The doctors have told me I need to fully rest until my vocal chords have healed, otherwise this could become a huge long-term issue. This kills me. I am so sorry to all who have bought tickets, I truly am.
We will be announcing re-arranged dates very shortly. This kills me.[/blockquote]
