PHD Sydney promotes Ryan Ambrose as group investment director

PHD Sydney has appointed Ryan Ambrose as its new group investment director, effective immediately.

Ambrose joins the Sydney office from PHD Melbourne, where he had been an investment director across the Spotlight Retail Group account.

In his new role, he will lead the investment teams across clients, including PepsiCo, SCJ, Electrolux and HP.

The newly appointed group investment director will report to national head of investment, Joanna Barnes.

Ambrose said he was excited to take on a new challenge and delivering fantastic business outcomes for their clients.

“I’m excited to be progressing my career at PHD with a move to Sydney and I’m grateful for the support of National Head of Investment Jo Barnes,” he said of his appointment.

“PHD’s constant focus on people through growth, development & training is second to none. I’m eager to get to know a new market and client portfolio with a continued focus on delivering best in class work,” Ambrose added.

PHD Australia, national head of investment Barnes said Ambrose has consistently delivered exceptional results across his portfolio and built very strong partnerships across the board.

“This promotion is well deserved and testament to all that Ryan has achieved, and I am delighted he has taken on this new challenge,” Barnes said.

This comes after PHD Melbourne announced the promotion of two members of its leadership team.

The new appointments, effective immediately, reflect the continued growth of the agency and recognise the important contribution both Weatherlake and O’Connor have made to PHD Melbourne’s ongoing success.  

PHD has had a number of wins this year including ekaterra – whose core brands include Lipton, PG Tips, Pukka, and T2, Celebrity Cruises, Swisse and the Brisbane Festival.
