The Hon. Paul Fletcher MP, Minister for Communications, Cyber Safety and the Arts, will address this year’s INFORM 19 News Media Summit, to be held on September 24 in Sydney.
Fletcher completes the speaker line-up and will appear alongside international keynote speaker, Professor Scott Galloway, from the NYU Stern School of Business and co-host of the podcast Pivot, live from New York.
Additional keynotes will be presented by Mark Ryan, Director of the Judith Nielson Institute, discussing why journalism is more important than ever; Damian Eales, President of the International News Media Association (INMA) and COO of New Corp; and Ritson on lessons in advertising effectiveness.
Of Fletcher joining the summits NewsMediaWorks CEO, Peter Miller, said: “We have gathered a world-class range of senior marketing and editorial voices, and are thrilled to welcome the Hon. Paul Fletcher to deliver a keynote speech. This year’s summit will take a deep dive into the challenges and opportunities for news media across editorial and digital platforms, as well as industry transformation and the issues facing marketers more broadly in the new media environment. We expect plenty of lively debate,”
The News Media Awards, hosted by The Chaser’s Craig Reucassel and Andrew Hansen, will be presented that evening, following the conclusion of INFORM 19. Both events will be held at The Ivy Ballroom in Sydney.
