The WIN Network has appointed industry veteran Paul Bowen to the role of general manager WIN Western Australia.
Bowen’s appointment comes as the network prepares to embrace fresh opportunities available through its upcoming change of affiliation to Network Ten, a move the new general manager believes holds a wealth of possibilities.
The highly experienced sales director and former general manager for both WIN WA and Channel Nine, Perth, steps into the position on 1 June and says his return comes at an exciting time for the broadcaster.
“The new agreement brings fresh opportunities for us to consider and the chance to redefine the way we do things across the network,” he said.
“It is important we deliver the best media offering available to our market and I have strong ideas about our future potential.
“There is a lot of work to be done as we transition across to being a Ten Network affiliate broadcaster and I am particularly looking forward to working with the WIN Western Australia team to build our airtime revenue opportunities.”
WIN Network CEO Andrew Lancaster welcomed Bowen back to the WIN fold, saying his experience and enthusiasm for the industry as well as his understanding of the market would prove pivotal to the role.
“Paul has the knowledge, the commitment and the attitude to consolidate and grow the relationship with our new affiliate while ensuring we continue to meet the needs of our Western Australian viewers, advertisers and partners,” he said.
“He already knows what he wants to achieve in the market and he is ready to hit the ground running. I know he will be a great ambassador for WIN moving forward.”
The WIN Network’s affiliation with the TEN Network commences on 1 July 2016. Viewers will be able to access the exciting new programming on WIN from this date.
