Nine Entertainment chief executive David Gyngell has released details of expanded roles for two key members of the NEC team:
Alex Parsons, currently managing director of Mi9, from today will take on an expanded role across our business. Parsons’ new position of chief digital and marketing officer for Nine Entertainment Co. will cover his existing role with responsibility for the Mi9 operations, coupled with our consumer marketing activities across the business.
He has been a member of the Nine family for many years since first joining our ninemsn joint venture in 2007. He’s an excellent executive who “gets it”, and boasts a wealth of marketing and digital experience. Like the team around him, Parsons leads by example and shares a passion for working across our entire business to deliver great outcomes – both consumer and commercial, which is the name of the game.
Peter Wiltshire, currently group sales and marketing director, will become the chief revenue officer for Nine Entertainment Co to reflect his increased focus on core revenue growth across the broadcast and digital assets. Over the past few months he has implemented a restructure of the team, and now has a fully integrated NEC sales operation across the country. This is a major step in the way we see the future for advertisers, where delivering solutions and audiences becomes increasingly channel neutral across linear broadcast, online short and long form video and display. The team is migrating to adapt to the rapidly changing needs of our clients and agencies.
These roles reinforce the implementation of our long term focus and accelerate our plans to create a seamless and leading premium content, video and advertising company in Australia.
