Next&Co has announced its win of Ahoy Club’s media and marketing account.
The independent digital agency will be responsible for the global superyacht charter business, owned by the Malouf family, as they ramp up its luxury yacht experiences and events for Australian and international markets.
Next&Co will provide full-service digital media and B2B marketing for the Malouf family-owned business after the agency won their account following a three-way competitive pitch.
The Ahoy Club was founded in 2018 by the Malouf family, seasoned yacht owners and charterers who, after working with traditional yacht agents, wanted to create a better way for customers to charter a private yacht.
It has created the world’s first digital marketplace for superyachts, a platform that provides Ahoy Club’s clients unrivalled choice and purpose-built technology that is underpinned by global travel expertise.
Ahoy Club combines the world’s largest online selection of more than 4,000 yachts, the industry’s best chartering technology, and seven-star customer service to become the fastest growing yacht charter company in the world.
The company has recently expanded its yachting services to include transformative refits and yacht sales.
Ahoy Club has also established an events team enabling the company to take the onboard experience to another level or provide a truly unique venue alternative for special occasions on Sydney Harbour.
In addition, a number of the more popular Sydney-based superyachts, including Mischief, will be heading north to the Whitsundays to provide greater choice for those after a once in a lifetime family escape, introducing a new experience to the region.
The company also offers international super and mega yacht experiences including the Mediterranean, the Indian ocean and Southeast Asia, Northern Europe, the Caribbean, and Bahamas, and New Zealand, to name a few.
Ahoy Club CEO, Ellie Malouf, said: “As Australia and the world emerges from COVID, there is opportunity to aggressively scale the business, and growing lead generation will be the central tenet of these aspirations.
“We have invested in people, processes, and systems to achieve this, including new business development staff in North America, the UK and Europe, improvements to our sales and marketing tools, and the appointment of performance driven digital agencies. Next&Co impressed us with their digital and search offering and their laser focus on results.”
Next&Co co-founder, John Vlasakakis, said: “Ahoy Club has a completely unique offering in the Australian market and in many international markets for people seeking a once in a lifetime experience on board super and mega yachts where no expense has been spared. Next&Co will work with Ahoy Club to find and reach its target audiences using the most sophisticated digital channels to help drive customer growth for the company. It’s a really exciting time to be part of the journey.”
The Ahoy Club win follows the announcement that Next& Co was named as one of the top 10 media and marketing companies in the 2021 AFR BOSS Most Innovative Companies List.
Next&Co’s key innovation is its media auditing tool Prometheus, which has a global patent pending. Prometheus, a self-serve, easy to use and intuitive platform, allows advertisers to find out the efficiency of their digital ad spend across Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Bing. It has been used by more than 300 companies.
