Regional restructure at SCA sees Steve Smith depart as GM in Newcastle

•  After 28 years in regional media, Steve Smith departs
•  Ashley Myatt moves from WA to be NSW GM from Newcastle

After the announcement of a new regional general manager structure earlier this week, Southern Cross Austereo has announced five of its long standing, high performing key regional executives will take on new leadership roles.

Ashley Myatt will take on a new senior management role managing the NSW region based out of Newcastle. Rod Winner will step into the VIC/SA role, Sam Fotu will take on WA and Craig Davies will continue to manage the TAS, Darwin and seven Central regions.

Tim Davenport has managed a substantial area across the Northern markets (QLD and NNSW) for the last three years, with some outstanding results achieved over this time, Davenport will now focus on a newly formed role of regional general manager for QLD, as well as continuing to influence other major projects moving forward for SCA.

It is also at this time, that Steve Smith will depart SCA. “Steve has been an integral part of the regional media business for over 28 years and we thank him for his significant contribution,” said SCA.

Executive director of regional operations Rick Lenarcic said: “I am excited about the new structural changes in our regional hubs. We have a very experienced and dedicated team and I look forward to seeing the ongoing success of our consistently strong performing SCA regional assets.”
