Greg Graham started his advertising career in despatch at McCanns in the 70s. In Greg’s 40+ years in advertising, he has worked for a number of high profile creative agencies including DDB, Burnett’s & JWT.
In 1997 he launched MindShare’s Melbourne office as managing director and worked for WPP/GroupM for over 25 years. Greg was the marketing and new business director of Mindshare North America, based in New York for seven years. In that time the agency was incredibly successful and was named AdWeek’s Media Agency of the Year for winning in excess of a billion dollars in new business.
Greg transferred back home to Australia in 2007 working in a similar role to the US across GroupM’s/WPP AUNZ companies.
Greg now is the founder of independent company The Nest Consultancy specialising in Pitch Doctor and Business Development projects, PR/Marketing plus Training & Development. Sparrow has been involved in a number of industry committees (chairman MFA Awards, Advertising Week Advisory, Cannes Lions Academy Advisor, AANA RESET Event Advisory, etc ) and has received numerous industry accolades including Media Person of the Year, Media Manager of the Year Asia Pacific, and The Best of the Best Lifetime Achievement Award.
Greg is passionate about nurturing and mentoring young talent and helps various industry bodies in this important area including The Marketing Academy, Mediaworks, MFA , Cannes Creativity Academy, Spikes Young Media Academy, GroupM/WPP AUNZ training and development programmes. Greg is a qualified Coach (IECL & CouchU) and a member of the International Coaching Federation.
