Penrith Panthers legend Mark Geyer, is making a return to Triple M Sydney breakfast.
Alongside Lawrence Mooney, Jess Eva, and Chris Page – Mark ‘MG’ Geyer will be joining the brekkie team in 2022 from 7am – 9am on 104.9 Triple M Sydney. He currency co-hosts The Rush Hour alongside Liam Flanagan.
MG’s arrival will also see a much-anticipated return to sport commentary on Triple M Sydney Breakfast and who better to serve it up than the ‘King of the West’ himself. MG will give listeners an insight into all things NRL and serve up the inside scoop of all the on and off field antics.
Not just a brilliant footy player, MG is also an Order of Australia medal recipient for his service to the sport of Rugby League football, and to the community through a range of charitable organisations.
He is not just renowned for his sporting prowess, MG became a household name for taking on the mighty Wally Lewis in arguably the most famous stoush in State of Origin history, in 1991.
Since hanging up his boots, MG has been a big part of Triple M Sydney, a regular panelist on the rugby league talk shows, and has also written extensively about rugby league for various newspapers and sporting magazines.
Mark Geyer said: I’m excited to be setting the alarm once again for Triple M Sydney breakfast, and I couldn’t think of a better team to be joining! Lawrence keeps me laughing every morning. Jess is her own unique brand of hilarity and Pagey and I go way back. Bring on 2022!”
Triple M Sydney content director, Rex Morris, said: “We’re expecting MG’s involvement on Moonman in the Morning to be an extension of what he already brings to the show on a weekly basis. He’s famously connected to sport, and the ripping yarns around it. He lives and breathes our city’s west, curiously he manages to sing nearly every time he’s on the show and he loves a laugh.”
