Australian men’s lifestyle media company, Man of Many have announced the international launch of its ChatGPT plugin, becoming the first major publisher to do so. The AI tool integrates directly into OpenAI’s ChatGPT, and enhances the user’s ability to discover and engage with the latest in products, culture, and style.
The AI-driven approach makes content discovery more intuitive and engaging, as users can ask for specific requests, keep up with the latest news, or request gift ideas through a simple chat interface.
ChatGPT plugins are a feature designed to enhance the capabilities of the OpenAI LLM models. It allows the AI to interact with external databases, thereby expanding its knowledge base and functionality. With plugins, the AI can provide real-time updates, fetch specific information from the web, and even interact with other digital services.
Through the chat interface, users can now ask Man of Many questions such as “Where to buy a suit in Sydney?” or “What are the latest headlines?” and “What is a good gift idea for my dad?” The plugin analyzes users’ input and provides relevant and current recommendations tailored specifically to their individual preferences.
“Google’s new Search Generative Experience (SGE), for instance, will likely fundamentally change the way users discover content online and as digital publishers, we’re constantly navigating the complex landscape and impacts from AI. Our response through the Man of Many ChatGPT plugin, is one way to tackle the challenges of the new digital publishing era head-on, with an innovative tool designed to provide more bespoke responses to queries and drive traffic back to our site. We’ll be actively working with all major parties and search engines to ensure our content is delivered in the most effective manner for users,” said Scott Purcell, co-founder of Man of Many.
The Man of Many plugin is now available free in the ChatGPT Plus plugin store.
